5 Spring-Themed Activities To Try With Your Child
Spring is a beautiful time of the year where plenty of activities can start happening outdoors. It’s a lot warmer and sunnier in the Spring with longer days to look forward to. This guide from a nursery in Streatham Hill has 5 ideas you could try this year.

1. A Spring Picnic
With the weather being a lot warmer (though you will still need to wrap up!), there is plenty of fun to be had in a picnic. Get your kids involved in making the sandwiches, or baking anything together to eat when you get to the park. Make it an exciting day out with the family or as a birthday party idea among friends.
2. Easter baking
Baking in the spring usually calls for Easter-themed biscuits, fruit cakes and more. It’s a good place for your child to learn how to bake a lot of the easier things, especially biscuits where your child can learn how to roll out the dough and use cookie cutters.
3. Flower collecting
Spring is also a lovely time of the year for flowers to really blossom. You could head out on a walk together and count how many new flowers you find on your travels, or even let your child pluck them. You could use them as a good flower pressing activity as well.
4. Cycling or learning to use a tricycle
For toddlers this is a great time to get out the tricycle and learn how to pedal without feeling scared. With the weather being a lot drier it’s a great time to get out and make memories with your child together, as it will help them with their confidence.
5. Treasure Hunt
Ideally a treasure hunt should be done on a dry day, but if it is looking like it could be raining you can bring this inside. Hide lots of little treats around the home and put them together with a spring time theme, with daffodils, rabbits and other flowers blossoming.
