5 Tricks to an Stunning Organised Bedroom

June 15, 2022

The bedroom is the most personal room in the house. It’s where you sleep and rest, where you go to relax and unwind, and where you spend time with yourself. It should be a place that mirrors your personality and your decor sense— but if it’s messy and cluttered, it can feel like a chore to spend time there.

That’s why we’ve rounded up these five simple tricks for an organised bedroom:

  1. Use Under-Bed Space wisely.

Under-bed storage is a great way to store bulky items that take up a lot of space. If you have a small bed, it can be challenging to find the space to keep your blankets and pillows organised. A simple solution is to use under-bed storage containers. This will allow you to store all of your blankets and pillows in one place. Not only this, but it also provides massive space for storing off-season duvet togs. If you have a built-in bed, that’s great. Otherwise, invest in some rolling storage containers and keep them under the bed for extra storage.

2. Make your bed every morning.

Making your bed every day is a great way to start the day, but it also helps keep your bedroom clean and tidy all the time.  It’s also easier than having to make it every night before going to sleep. Plus, see if your bedsheets need a change. It is advised to change bedsheets twice a week to stay healthier and wake up fresh every day. Having a few sets of double bed sheets is always a smart approach, rather than having nothing on the bed while laundering the bedding.

3. Hang artwork

It is best to hang artwork on the wall rather than display it on dressers, nightstands, or vanities, especially if your bedroom is narrow or smaller.  Make sure to have a light-toned painted wall behind the artwork that will instantly give your room a facelift. Also, keep some other matching decor items like a vase or jar on the table so that your bedroom will have a style that is more elegant and sophisticated.

4. Declutter the wardrobe

Even if your bedroom is perfectly clean, if your wardrobe is a chaotic mess, it will disturb the tranquility and peace that you’ve worked so hard to achieve in your bedroom. Additionally, a messy closet means that getting dressed in the morning will take more time, which can lead to increased levels of stress. Take some pressure off your shoulder by organising your closet full of clothing.

First things first, clean up your cupboard. You may either give it complete organising or just give it a fast sweep to get rid of all the clutter. Incorporate a method of storage if that is required. After you have gone through all of your clothing, donate the stuff that you no longer need and enjoy the newfound calming atmosphere in your bedroom.

5. Place a rug at a right angle.

A bedroom rug, no doubt, helps you make your bedroom look more organised and complete. However, where you place it is a more important factor to take into account after its style, design, and the right size. You can lay it either at the bed end, having the two-bed legs over it, next to a dresser, near the closer, or runner rugs at both sides of the bed. Use your gut instinct and see where you feel it looks just perfect. You can choose a beautiful area scandi rug that blends in with the other interior items in the room or just make a statement on its own.

6. Organise the blankets strategically

Consider purchasing a stunning blanket rack if you have a large number of blankets, throws, and comforters that you use frequently. Moreover, take good care of the floor space before investing in one.  You may get one from a second-hand shop or an antique shop. This will make it much simpler to “turn down” the bed every night and to make the bed in the morning. In addition, you won’t have to fight the desire to simply dump everything on the ground.

7. Keep everything organised on the nightstand.

Instead of having a workstation, consider purchasing a night table that satisfies your requirements while consuming the least amount of room possible. It is a terrific space-saving strategy that many professional home organisers recommend to their customers who are living in small apartments or quarters. If you’re short on space but still need some extra storage, look for a nightstand that’s not too bulky yet has several drawers. Make use of this nightstand as a compact dresser on which you can place a gorgeous night lamp and your night skin care products, and in drawers, you can store items like your books, magazines, and more stuff like that.
