A Scottish Adventure

September 20, 2018

Like many people I have a bucket list. Although, I have to be honest and say that I’m not keen on calling it a bucket list, but rather just a list of things I’d like to do in life. That way if I don’t manage to do them all, that’s ok! I don’t have a time limit on when I plan to do these things, and not even 100% sure that I’ll ever get around to doing them all, but it’s nice to have goals!

I have quite a varied range of things on my list. From writing a book to making a quilt, to running a marathon, and going to America.

Some of these are easier than others!

However, some of the things on my list are a little closer to home. I live in Wales, which is such a beautiful country. One minute you can be wandering around the shops in the city centre, buying a fresh loaf of bara brith, the next you could be wandering along one of Wales’ many beaches collecting shells or even exploring some rock pools!

As beautiful as Wales is, there is another country that I’d like to visit that’s meant to be just as beautiful, and that’s Scotland. Edinburgh in particular.

I’d love to explore Edinburgh Castle, which is home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny. There are also lots of hidden gems such as a gin distillery, Lauriston Castle, which is north of Edinburgh, and the Royal Observatory Edinburgh.

As well as lots of places to go and things to do, Edinburgh offers up some delightful places to stay too. Take https://edinburgh.frasershospitality.com, for example. These serviced apartments in Edinburgh Old Town make a great base to explore Edinburgh from. Close to Edinburgh Castle, and just off the Royal Mile on St Giles Street. A great base for couples, families or individual travellers.

Have you ever been to Edinburgh, or perhaps somewhere else in Scotland? Let me know in the comments below!
