Having a husband who also blogs can be quite fun at times, but it can also be quite stressful!
I’ve been blogging for four years and I absolutely love it. So much so that I’d been trying to convince my husband to start his very own blog for quite some time.
After much wearing down he finally gave it a go! I’m not sure my constant going on at him had much to do with his decision to start a blog though! He had an injury at work where he broke his wrist so he was off work for a while. It was during this time that he started his blog, DIY Daddy, – probably out of boredom!
I’m so very glad that he did start a blog because he’s recently been named number 10 top dad blogger in the UK! Well done hubs I’m so very proud of you!
That being said we’ve now found that we argue quite a bit over blogging! This mainly happens in the evenings when the kids are in bed, but we have been known to argue over the phone too!
Sometimes it’ll be because one of us doesn’t have time to reply to an email so we ask the other to do it for us.
Sometimes it’ll be because my husband has opened my emails before I’ve had a chance to look and then doesn’t tell me that he’s opened it so I don’t get a notification, in turn meaning that I don’t reply to it as quickly as I’d like too.
Sometimes he’ll ask me to edit one of his posts when I’m simply not in the mood to do so because I’ve been working on my own blog stuff and want a break. Of course I always end up feeling guilty and end up doing it anyway!
Of course we do have a laugh about it all afterwards! We even poke fun at one another on occasion too. Take this Facebook status I put on my personal page not long ago!
I am glad that Nigel now has his own blog because I can see how much he enjoys writing, and it’s given him some great opportunities. He’s even been to London to meet with other dad bloggers.
Another reason that I’m glad he started blogging is because now he understands the addiction to it! He understand why I’m on my phone so much at times and why I’m constantly on my laptop!
The only thing is, now that he’s addicted to it too he spends just as much, if not more time on his phone than me!

I keep trying to convince my other half to write too because he's very good at it but so far, no luck. It's lovely that you both have a shared hobby.

My husband is beginning to understand about blogging but only because I've been showing him my site and each and every post I write to include him in the process. Otherwise it would be tough to spend my time on blogging stuff if he didn't get it! Well done to your hubs! #bloggerclubuk

Aww I love that you both blog, even though you sometimes argue it sounds like you support each other loads. Love that fb post! Congrats to DIY Daddy on his top 10 ranking xx #bestandworst

I think it's brilliant that you have that shared interest! My hubby just about tolerates my blogging but doesn't really "get" it. It's probably a blessing as we only have one laptop and so I wouldn't stand a chance of getting it if he started blogging too. Congratulations again to Nigel and to you both for making such a successful blogging team! 🙂 #bestandworst x

Ah brilliant, I can imagine there must be some arguments to be had with two bloggers in the house! But how wonderful that you both share the blogging love and I'm sure understand a lot of the commitment that goes into it..#bloggerclubuk

My wife and I are both very competitive, so I don't think this would work out well for us, but it's great that you guys have a passion that you can share. #bestandworst

Lol I can imagine that it might cause some battles – my blogging finally prompted my hubby to create our study and install a second computer just so he could use the computer occasionally! Well done to your hubby on being one of the top 10 dad bloggers and I do love that photo – that's a pose I recognise! #bloggerclubuk

This made me smile as I can imagine you getting all competitive with each other! I can imagine the laptop time and phone time when the girls have gone to bed is mad! Hubby is currently watching TV. I wonder what it would be like if he blogged too??? Thanks for sharing with #bestandworstx

You're the Brad and Angelina of the blogging world. Total power couple! Not sure if I'd trust my husband to edit my blog – he always says I'm too sweary. #bloggerclubuk

I think this is great that you both love blogging and can share this interest together, despite the wee arguments!! My DH didn't want me to start blogging, doesn't read it unless I force him too, a does a lot of eye-rolling when I try and talk about it. Supportive eh?! Well done guys, really nice to read this about your achievements! Kathy xx #BloggerClubUK
