Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is Jo who blogs at Momma Boss. Jo is a 31 year old full time working mum with 2 little boys aged 3 months and almost 3! Jo runs a pub and has been working in bars for 13 years. She’s been married for a year. In her spare time, Jo likes dancing and writing, she also goes to weekly ballet classes and writes a blog. Jo loves holidays too, big adventures abroad or just little U.K. day trips.

Thanks for taking part Jo!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

Yes! I had hundreds of dolls when I was little and they were all my babies.

How did you feel when your children were born?

1st one, nearly dead! Haha, no exaggeration I nearly died from a severe c section infection! I went on to have 2 miscarriages before having my rainbow boy who was born via planned c section. I felt so chilled out after he was born. The difference between planned and emergency c section was unbelievable!

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

Watching my oldest – Ollie, progressing at nursery. I was so sad leaving him at first but he’s doing really well and got star of the day twice. Also, me and Ollie raising over £300 for Tommys Miscarriage charity by doing the BabyBallet danceathon.

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

My Ollie has a really good sense of humour, he makes me laugh a lot.

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

Every time they are poorly. It’s so sad seeing them ill and not being able to take them away.

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?

I really want them to be best friends! If they were both best man at each other’s wedding I’d feel successful as a mum!
