Brilliant Mum Feature Week 115
Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.
If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.

This week our brilliant mum feature is Stacey who blogs at 4 Freckled Faces.
Stacey has been married for 10 years and is a full time mum of four. She lives in Cheshire. In the (very little) spare time she has, Stacey enjoys singing, dancing, playing sports, baking or crafts…..and forgetting that she’s 34!
Thanks for taking part Stacey!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?
Nope. I was pretty nervous when we found out we were pregnant. As soon as I helped our first child in my arms I was overwhelmed with love, and have lived being a mum ever since.
How did you feel when your children were born?
It’s been different every time. My first child was a a very short and intense labour. There was no time for drugs! He had a very large head and I was struggling to push him out. He’s heart rate started to drop so the used forceps to pull him out. All of that made for a crazy amount of emotions and love and so gratitude that he was ok.
With my next 3, they all had to be by planned c-section. It was all very relaxed and. The surgical team were all chatting and having a laugh, the radio was playing and I was lying there feeling like they were washing up in my tummy! I didn’t worry about the babies at any point, everything went smoothly for them. I had some complications, but everything was taken care of. I felt immediate love for all of them, but the birth by c-section were different feelings.
What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?
Seeing my children learn, share, help others, laugh, pick themselves up and keep trying.
What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?
There are always lots when kids are learning to speak!
Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?
A fair few! One of ours has a very bad temper and a very short fuse… and you never know what is going to set her off. It’s tough figuring out the best way to deal with her at times. When they’ve been bullied. When they’ve been upset by someone.
What are your dreams and hopes for your children?
To be the best them that they can be. Be happy Be helpful Be kind Believe in themselves Aim high and work hard
