Justin Fletcher has to be one of the best children’s entertainers of our time.
His range of characters such as Mr Tumble, Aunt Polly and Grandad Tumble are funny, engaging and I’m pretty sure every child loves them!
I bought our tickets last year and although it’s been a long wait, it was definitely worth it!
The show started with Arthur Sleep coming up on the screen with a ‘newsflash’ to let people know the show would start soon.
The characters, Andy, Kat, Gem and Robert the Robot all came onto stage followed by Justin.
Whilst everyone is getting ready for Mr Tumbles circus to arrive, Robert has other ideas as he’s determined to get his list of chores finished before anything circus related happens.
We see a range of different scenarios, my favourite of which involved Andy and Kat. They have to feed Tiddles, who turns out to be a dinasaur.
The costume was amazing and both our girls, R and M were fascinated! Neither of them took their eyes off the stage!
Keith Fit also had a stint on stage which saw some dads from the audience get involved in the show. They were brought up onto the stage and took part in Keith’s fitness regime, lifting weights etc!
Aunt Polly skipped down the aisle with a water pistol squirting water into the audience as she passed!
Her washing machine broke down which saw the stage fill with bubbles. R and M thought it was brilliant!
The first part of the show was an hour long with a 20 minute interval.
The second half was around 40 minutes long and saw Mr Tumble himself take to the stage.
With lights shining brightly all around, music, singing and dancing, the second half of the show proved to be just as fun and action-packed as the first half!
We saw wonderful (puppet) birds fly overhead along with jugglers, acrobatics, plate spinning and unicycles!
Mr Tumble sang his Hello song along with the audience which was really enjoyable. R was singing along and M danced by her side.
As the show came to a close the audience helped to put the big tent up by waving their arms toward the stage.
The ringmaster – Mr Tumble – took centre stage as he juggled and entertained us all.
Overall the show was amazing. R and M have been to the theatre twice to see shows which were at most 90 minutes long. I did wonder before hand how they would cope with the show being around two hours, but the time went by so fast!
It was action packed and fun throughout with never a dull moment!
Would I recommend CBeebies Live? Absolutely! I’d definitely go again! I think it’s fair to say that the adults enjoyed the show as much as the kids!
Are you going to CBeebies Live? Have you been? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
