Christmas Gift Guide

November 23, 2021

Christmas is just 32 days away! Can you believe it? Hopefully you’re a bit more organised than I am. This year has been very busy. We bought our first home and spent just over a month renovating it before we moved in. We still have some work to do but we’re almost finished. In addition, I started a new job working from home, which is just wonderful. I guess with all of that going on it’s no wonder I’m not my usual, organised self!

That being said, I have managed to wrap a few gifts and don’t have that much left to buy. Thankfully, my Christmas Gift Guide came in very handy for some inspiration when it comes to buying gifts.

Buyagift

We all know one person who is almost impossible to buy for. That’s why a voucher can be a great gift because the recipient can use it how and when they like. Buyagift is the UK’s leading provider of experience days. You can search by experience, short breaks, recipient, occasion or location to find the perfect gift.

Experiences include spa days, adventure experiences such as escape rooms, helicopter lessons or even indoor skydiving! There’s also afternoon tea, fine dining and even days out for the whole family to enjoy.

I thought this Afternoon Tea for 2 people is a great gift. You can chose from 465 venues across a range of tearooms, restaurants and hotels across the UK.

Red Letter Days

Red Letter Days is also another great gift. Vouchers are redeemable against their extensive range of gift experiences, so whether you’re looking for a spot of golf, skydiving, a relaxing spa break, theatre tickets, Michelin-starred cuisine, a historical train trip or something else, your recipient will have up to ten months in which to make a selection and enjoy their chosen experience.

Little Ant

Another gift for the home similar to the pampas and jar bundle above, is this vanilla dried bouquet from Little Ant. (The jug vase is my own).

With dried wild flowers making a comeback, these beautiful bouquets add a long lasting natural touch to your home. The Vanilla bunch is full of rustic and neutral tones, making it a perfect choice for statement vases, whilst avoiding the hassle of fresh flowers wilting.

Little Ant’s bouquets are the ideal ethical gift option for the environmentally conscious: lasting longer than fresh arrangements and using seasonal flowers which are carefully sourced and selected to have the least impact on the planet.

Plus, they can be sent in a letterbox sized parcel, ideal for sending a special treat to those you can’t spend time with over the festive period.

Yoto Mini

If your children enjoy listening to music, stories, podcasts and the radio, then they will love the Yoto Mini. Yoto creates audio devices for children to enjoy, without screen time. The audio platform also lets children enjoy education activities and sound effects.

This compact device is ideal for on the go. Whether it’s on a long car journey or just for enjoying with friends. I love the retro look of the Yoto Mini. The devices allow children to listen to their favourite audio on the move, controlled using physical cards.

The Yoto Mini may be small but it boasts an all-day battery and impressive audio. With a headphone jack, children can listen without disrupting others. The cute pixel display brings the audio to life and you can personalise your Yoto Mini with its very own Adventure Jacket which comes with a handy carry handle. The Yoto Mini is available for purchase via ttps://uk.yotoplay.com and https://www.whsmith.co.uk.

Bright Minds

For the children, I always like to go a bit traditional. This Garden Pick Up Sticks set from Bright Minds is perfect for encouraging children into the garden for some fun family time. Priced at just £16.99 which I think is amazing value for money, the 41 giant pick up sticks are incredibly well made. It comes with instructions and up to 4 people can play. My girls love to play ordinary pick up sticks, so I can only imagine how much fun they’re going to have playing this giant, garden version!

Also from Bright Minds is this Buttonbag Learn How to Sew Suitcase. One of my daughters loves to sew so this is perfect for her to practise her hand sewing skills. Aimed at children 8 years and over, this kit contains everything you need to learn how to sew, and how cute is the suitcase it comes in!

It’s just £24.99 and for all of that you can discover how to make three different elephants, a cat and a kitten, a drawstring bag and so much more!

Sticklebricks Fun Tub

Sticklebricks are always great fun no matter how old you are! I certainly love to get involved and play with them when my children are busy making their own inventions with them!

The Stickle Bricks Fun Tub is perfect for children aged 18 months up. Priced at just £22 from The Entertainer, this glorious little red tub of goodies kept my girls playing and playing. It’s ideal for young builders with grand designs in mind!

Inside you’ll find a variety of different shapes and colours of Stickle Bricks that can be stuck together to make all sorts of wonderful creations.

They can be stuck together, stacked and used to create lots of imaginative fun games. My girls really enjoyed making up their own designs and also copying some of the creations pictured on the box.

Marabel

For children who love to read, Marabel is the perfect gift. Unashamedly ‘old-school’, the new book Marabel by Barbara Wade Rose is a fun and fantastical adventure in the spirit of classic children’s stories from Peter Pan to The Secret Garden to the works of P.L. Travers. Marabel is the perfect bedtime book for children age 8+ to read on their own or, even better, to be read to younger children (because the reader will love it too!). MARABEL is available in paperback (£5.95) and ebook (£2.95). Find out more at barbarawaderosebooks.com

A winter coat is a must have so look no further than TOG24 for your winter coat needs. Whether you’re buying for your wife, sister, mum or friend, TOG24 have got you covered.

When it’s cold and windy, you’ll stay warm and cosy wearing the Hadleigh padded puffer coat with wide, chevron panels that is super warm, wind resistant and comes with a high performance thermal filling made from recycled plastic bottles.
