The start of the Easter holidays last week has been full of fun!
Although I worked Monday to Thursday last week (read more about this here) we still managed to do lots of fun things!
On Monday after I arrived home from work we spent most of the day in the garden playing tennis, racquetball and volleyball! M asked for a tennis set for her birthday back in February and I managed to pick up a fantastic set from the Argos Chad Valley range. It has a net, tennis racquets and a soft tennis ball, badminton racquets and shuttlecock plus volley ball. It’s a great little set!
It was so lovely to just be outdoors with no digital distractions. I deliberately left my phone indoors and just enjoyed the time spent in the garden with my children and husband.
On Tuesday my husband did some craft activities with the girls in the morning whilst I was in work, and then when I arrived home I did some painting with them. It got pretty messy, but the girls had so much fun. The sound of their giggles is the best sound in the world!

On Wednesday my husband took the girls to our local park in the morning, and then in the afternoon my sister and her children came over and all the children played together in the garden. It was so lovely to see them all playing together. Two of them had a game of football going on, and the other two played with soft toys and dolls in the garden. They also took turns to play on the trampoline. It’s days like this one that make me realise how lucky we are to have a garden.
On Thursday my husband took the girls to the park again in the morning. When I got home from work we popped to the shops and the girls Nanna’s house and then I took them for a bike ride. My focus this year is to really concentrate on getting them riding their bikes without stabilisers. After our bike ride we enjoyed dinner in the garden and then played tennis until bedtime!

On Friday my husband and I took the girls to a farm. We absolutely love going to the farm. You can actually read my review of Warren Mill Farm here. I wrote that review back in 2015, but it’s still pretty much the same!
How you have spent the first week of the Easter holidays? Let me know in the comments below!

Sounds like a really fun week. I think the highlight of the boys’ first week of the Easter Holidays was going to see a Lego Exhibition and riding on a steam train.

Well Emily, I’m afraid we’re a week ahead of you and have been back at school since Tuesday. I think you are maybe having a more organised holiday than us. I fear the wheels totally fell off the bus most days although the dis did quite a few craft activities. Thanks for hosting #thatfridaylinky
