Family TV Time
As a family we’re pretty active. We like to get outdoors and spend lots of time in the park, city centre or just going for walks.
Sometimes though we just want to rest and relax together. Particularly on a Sunday! Sunday has become our relaxing family day. After a long week of work and school, we like to spend our Sundays together.
We’ll wake up late, stay in our pyjamas longer than usual and have a roast dinner together before settling down in front of the TV to watch some of our favourite shows.
We’re also quite a thrifty family and don’t spend money unnecessarily. For us that means no TV subscriptions. We like the freedom that Freeview TV gives us.
A lot of people don’t actually know that in addition to a vast array of channels, you can also get Freeview Play On Demand and Catch Up TV all without a subscription. Learn more in the video below.
We tend watch family friendly films in the afternoons and when it comes to the girls bedtime, my husband and I like to watch our favourite soaps, although my husband does like his football so if the football is on, that’s what he’ll watch!
Our girls love all of the usual animated films, but as they’re getting older they’re starting to enjoy films with real people in as well. At this time of their one of their favourite films is Santa Claus The Movie. I have to be honest and say it’s one of my favourite movies too so my influence may have played part in this film also becoming our girls favourite Christmas film too!
They are like the classic Snowman film! I love that a film without words, just music has captured their hearts and imaginations. It’s a truly magical film! Does your child have a favourite Christmas film?
