First Visit to the Nursery
Today, twin daddy and I visited the nursery for the first time today. I am returning to work in January for two days a week, which means that the girls will need to go to nursery.
We are undecided as to whether the girls will spend one or two days a week in nursery. Twin daddy is self employed so originally we were thinking that one of the days I work, twin daddy would stay at home and look after the girls and the other day they would go to nursery.
I am looking forward to returning to work as it is a bit of a break for me and some adult company. Is it bad of me to feel like that?
On the other hand, I will be sad to return to work as it means our girls will be looked after by someone else. The nursery staff were all really nice and explained how they help settle the babies in. I can go with the girls and leave them there for 10 minutes and also stay a while with them as well, and we can do this until twin daddy and I feel confident that the girls are happy and settled in. This is great, as I think I’ll be more anxious about them starting nursery than the girls will be!
So, this means in December we can start settling them in with a few visits a week until they are ready to go there on a more permanent basis when I return to work.
How did you feel about your child starting nursery?
