Getting Rid of Fat in the Most Difficult Places

February 8, 2017

It’s tough to achieve the ideal body at any stage in life, much less when you’ve got kids in the house. Kids have a way of taking up all of your time and energy. This has a twofold effect on your weight loss goals. For one, you don’t have the time or energy to focus on your diet and workouts. For two, the stress of little sleep and hard, fast work during the day makes it a lot easier to pack on the pounds. By the time you’ve got a chance to reevaluate (when they’re in college?) you might have a lot of ground to make up.

This doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to eliminate fat and lose weight while being a full time parent. It just means that you’ll have to have a plan that works. If what you’ve been trying hasn’t worked, this means it isn’t a good plan for you. We’ve got some strategies below that actually work for parents of small children, especially when you use them together.

Get Professional Help. When you are having a hard time losing weight, it’s time to bring in the big guns. A single session with a physical therapist or personal trainer can teach you incredible insights about how your body works. The things you learn in a session will be practicable in your daily life. Sometimes working with a professional triggers something in your mind. You realise “This is SERIOUS now” and you start to work harder when you’re on your own. You could also sign up for a Coolsculpting session, where a professional technician uses cold temperatures to make your fat cells release the fat they contain naturally. This will help you maximize the fat loss potential in your workouts. Whatever you choose, don’t keep trying to do it all by yourself. Professionals really help, and are a small investment in the long run.

Become a Caffeine Drinker. Skipping breakfast in the morning for a cup of coffee or tea is a great way to cut down on calories and boost your metabolism in one go. It’s good to eat a little something in the morning – it signals your digestion and metabolism to get burning early. But a morning of few calories and a reasonable amount of caffeine can boost your weight loss goals beyond what they would be if you simply skipped the meal. There’s a reason why so many coffee drinkers are skinny!

Eat Less, Exercise More. Ultimately you won’t lose weight if you don’t cut down on the calories. You’ll also limit your results if you don’t exercise, but this might be easier than you think. Why not add twenty pushups a day to your schedule? Even this small effort will pay big dividends if you do it daily. You can build from there once you’ve made it a firm part of your schedule.

There are lots of ways to lose weight, but it’s still hard to achieve for almost everybody. If you’ve got kids who take up a lot of your time and energy, use tactics like these to peal away the layers until you’ve achieved your weight loss goals.
