Hacks for maintaining your vehicle #TYREKNOWLEDGE

September 24, 2018

Taking of your car is essential. It’s one of those things that we don’t enjoy doing, but has to be done. I’ve owned my car for around seven years. It’s my first car, and although it’s 15 years old, I’ve never had a problem with it. I firmly believe the reason for this is because of how I’ve taken care of it.

You see, when you take care of your car, you can ensure that you get the most out of it, and that it will last for many more years.

Some of the things I do to maintain my car are purely for aesthetic reasons, but there are lots of things I do to make sure that it lasts me another few years. Here are just a few.
Cleaning your windshield
By regularly cleaning your windshield to remove grime, you’re not only improving your visibility, you can also ensure that it lasts longer. Some debris and dirt from driving can cause damage to your windshield. By taking care of your windshield, you’re helping to give it a long life.
Maintain your tyres
Checking your tyres regularly is important. You’ll need to for signs of wear and tear, as well as check the pressure and tread. Any problems you detect early on can either be repaired or you can buy new car tyres from TyrePlus. You can find out more about tyres in this online ebook.
Clean your engine
It’s not a fun job, but again it’s essential to your cars health, and it really doesn’t take as long as you think it might. Just be sure to cover the car battery and air intake with plastic, then you can pour some dishwasher soap on the engine and use a soft bristled brush to give the engine a scrub. When finished simply rinse it using a soft rag.
Clean your headlights
Headlights can often get dirty and covered in grime. Cleaning them is actually pretty easy. Did you know that you can use a tube of toothpaste to do so? Just spread it over the headlight lens and buff it with a cloth before using water to rinse it clean.
