With summer well and truly here, I thought that it was about time that I got my summer essentials together.
Having kids means that the majority of my summer essentials have changed from what they used to be when I was a teenager, but I still have some firm favourites. I thought I’d share some of them with you! It’s also good to know that you can get some great deals on summer essentials at Groupon.
1. Garnier Summer Body Lotion Light Gradual Tan Moisturiser
This varies in price depending on what shop you like in, but it’s generally anything from £3.50 to £8. I really like self tanning moisturiser for a number of different reasons. For starters the bottle lasts ages! I’ve been using it every day since I bought it a good few months back, and I still have plenty left. A little really does go a long way! Although you can’t see where you’re applying this in terms of colour, (the colour comes out gradually throughout the day), I’m never left looking streaky. I always get a nice, natural and even tan.
2. Bondi Sands
I’m always nervous about sun beds and spray tans, so I’d much rather self-tan in the comfort of my own home. By using an application mitt I find that I can get a nice, even tan at home.
3. No7 Skincare
My favourite skincare range of all time is No7. Their day cream is my absolute favourite. I apply it every morning before my primer. Not only does it go on smooth, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. It always feel super soft!
4. Nivea Kids Sun Lotion
This is the only sun lotion I’ve found that my kids do well with. With regular top ups, my children have never burned. It goes on well, sinks in so they’re not left looking all white and greasy, plus you can get handy handbag bag sized bottles too which are great for the kids to take to school so that they can top themselves up.
5. Summer fragrance
For me, this has to be Estee Lauder Pleasures. My mum always used to wear this perfume, and every time I spray it onto my wrist, it reminds me of mum. It’s a lovely, light fragrance that lasts most of the day.
