Can you believe it’s been just over three years since Frozen first aired in the cinema?! I can’t actually believe it was that long ago because our twins are just as much in love with Frozen now as when they first watched it!

M’s favourite characters are Anna and Elsa, whereas R’s favourite characters are Kristoff and Hans. Me, personally, I love Olaf!

We were recently sent the Northern Lights Elsa Doll to review and we love her. Scroll down to see my video of Elsa in action!

Elsa is a 14″ doll with a hard plastic body. This does mean that you can’t bend Elsa at the waist or move her legs so she can only stand, but you can move her arms and head.

Elsa wears a beautiful sparkly cape and a shimmery blue skirt, both of which can be removed. Children can also take Elsa’s shoes off too!

Her hard plastic skirt is decorated with snowflakes and her hair is in a plait.

I absolutely love Elsa’s facial features! Her sparkly wide eyes and cute little button nose are really appealing to children!

On the back of Elsa there’s a switch with three options. Turn the switch to the ‘X’ position to turn Elsa off. Turn it to ‘O’ to turn Elsa on. Turn it to ‘T’ for ‘Try Me Mode.

On the underside of the snowflake that comes with Elsa there is also a switch with three options. Turn it to ‘I’ for interact with Elsa mode, ‘X’ for off mode, and ‘N’ for nightlight mode.

The snowflake is plugged in via a cord which slots into the bottom of the snowflake and into the back of Elsa.

The snowflake can be detached from the cord and from Elsa which is great if children just want to play with the doll. I do wish there was a pocket on Elsa or the snowflake so that you can store the cord in as I do worry that it might get lost!
Northern Lights Elsa has three different modes of play. By pressing Elsa’s necklace children can hear different magical phrases.

When Elsa is set to the ‘On’ mode and the snowflake is set to the ‘Interact with Elsa’ mode, children can gently wave their hand over the snowflake to change the colour of the snowflake. Elsa will then respond with magical sounds and her dress will change colour to match the snowflake.

The third mode of play is one of our girls favourites. By holding your hand over the snowflake for longer than 2 seconds, you can hear the theme song, ‘Let it go’ and Elsa’s dress lights up!

Overall, Northern Lights Elsa is a great doll! To see her in action watch the video below!
For the purpose of this review we were sent one Northern Lights Elsa doll. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
