Octonauts Slimed Playset Review
Octonauts to the launch bay! Sound the Octo-alert!
Who doesn’t love the Octonauts? Those cute little creatures doing good deeds! My four year old twins have grown more and more fond of the Octonauts over recent years and I can often hear them saying catchphrases from the show, humming along to theme tune and acting out various scenarios!
Our twin girls became underwater adventurers to test out the new Octonauts Slimed Playset, which can be seen in the new episodes of Octonauts!
Octonauts Octopod
Captain Barnacles in his slime-green Octo-Suit
A rescue net
A slimed octopus
A slime catapult
A container of extra gooey slime!

The slime really is gooey! It’s such a bizzare texture! It feels wet and runny, yet it doesn’t stick, stain or leave a mark on clothes or skin. I’m sure kids will love it!

This octonauts playset is lots of fun. Much like the old set, which we reviewed her, Captain Barnacles has a hole in his foot which helps him to stand upright when on the octopod as there as various places where you can stand him up.

If you press the Octopod’s mouth, the translucent tentacles light up and glow a cool slime-green colour which our twins love! When you press the mouth you can also hear some phrases from the crew.

The lid of the octopod can also be opened.

Much like the octopod on the show, children use their imaginations to create hours of endless play. Children can give make Captain Barnacles a quick exit of the octopod by using the Octo-hatch in the Launch Bay or they could search the Octopod for the missing octopus! Maybe he’s in Barnacles’ or Kwazi’s quarters, or maybe he’s escaped to the garden pod?

The playset is well made and durable. The plastic is strong so it can withstand even the roughest play session!
The accessories are also really well made and a great size for little hands to hold. Overall, this is a great playset that I would definitely recommend. RRP £39.99. Available from Smyths.
For the purpose of this review we were sent one Octonauts Slimed Playset. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
