Our first barbecue in our new home
At the end of April we had our first barbecue of the year.
I love barbecue food. The taste, the smell, the eating outdoors – the whole combination I love!
We had a barbecue last year in our old house, but our twins, R and M, didn’t eat any of the food cooked on the barbecue.
This year though was different.
We’re in a new house with our very own secluded garden and R and M are now three years old which means they eat pretty much anything you put in front of them!
My husband went out and bought the barbecue along with some masculine barbecue tools!
He was in charge of the cooking so whilst I left him to it I made a salad and boiled some corn on the cob!
We had chicken drumsticks, sausages, burgers along with a range of condiments.
Originally we’d planned to eat in our garden at the table and although the sun was shining magnificently, there was a breeze which made it a bit chilly to eat outside so we ate in our conservatory.
R and M loved the chicken drumsticks and chicken burgers. They ate them along with some chips.
It was really nice to sit down as a family and just spend the time together as a family eating good food with good company!

We love grilling too! And you're grilling the REAL way with charcoal. Our first grill was charcoal but my hubby found it to be too much work to start and clean so we switched to gas. Looks like you had a great meal!

I love a BBQ, I'm going to stick up on meat and fish tomorrow just in case the wonderful British weather holds up over the bank holiday!!!

We have a bbq planned in a few weeks time for D's 2nd birthday. Cant wait to get the food on the go. I love bbq season

I love a good BBQ, although I don't get to cook many as usually we go to my mother-in-laws where Zoe's brother dos the food (he is very good).

We have just bought our first ever BBQ and although I don't eat the food, the boys love it. I do most of the cooking usually because Daddy is in work or driving home so I think daddy enjoyed having the control of the BBQ and cooking for his family. #ToddlersAndTeens
