It’s no secret that I love food. The thing is I’ve been known eating the wrong types of food. Now that I’m on a mission to get fit and healthy I’m making a more conscious effort to eat the right food.
I’m my search for new and exiting healthy options, I came across Premium Foobox and they were kind enough to send me one of their boxes to review.
Premium Foodbox are passionate about quality food. They search around for premium ingredients, healthy snacks, unknown brands and lovely packagings. The lovely people behind Premium Foodbox want you to experience luxurious food every month without the need to actually source them. Sounds great to me!
Ultimately Premium Foodbox is a monthly subscription box. It costs just £16 a month which I think is good value for money when you consider the contents inside.
When my parcel arrived, I opened the box and found the contents nicely packaged in tissue paper with some string around it.
I had a quick peek at the contents and was pleased to see that everything was in the right condition. I always worry about receiving food products through the post in case they get damaged, but everything inside was in it’s original condition.
So what did I get?
- 1 can of UGLY unsweet water
- 1 bottle of Cho!
- 1 bar of conscious organic raw chocolate
- 1 packet of Ten Acre Crisps
- 1 packet of Apple Tango popcorn
- 1 pot of Moma Porridge
- 1 pack of tea
- 1 pack of Munchy Seeds
- 1 pack of Honey, Nut Me Out!
- 1 Marlenka Dortik Honey Cake
- 1 pack of raw chocolate raisins
I was very curious about the conscious raw chocolate as I wasn’t entirely sure what ‘raw chocolate’ was! According to wikipedia, raw chocolate is chocolate which is produced in a raw or minimally processed form.
The bar I was sent has wild cranberries in and I have to say it tastes pretty amazing! As well as being organic, it’s free from dairy, soya and gluten. This is a chocolate bar that I would definitely buy again!
Now before my healthy eating mission, I used to drink cans of diet coke. A lot of cans of diet coke! However, as I’m trying to be more healthy I have been looking for alternative drinks. Of course, there’s water, but I like something with a little more flavour.
I’ve never heard of UGLY before, but I have to admit it does taste great. In my box was one can of lemon & lime. It’s unsweet water with no sugar, no sweeter and nothing artificial. The perfect drink for a healthier me!
I must say that this box is great for snackers! The raw chocolate raisins, along with the crisps and popcorn are great healthy snacks. The raw chocolate raisins come in a handy resealable bag!
I also received a pot of Moma Porridge. I do like my porridge in the morning. I find it a great way to start the day. Porridge is so filling and especially welcome on a chilly morning!
Moma is another brand that I haven’t heard of before. Their porridge range uses a legendary blend of jumbo and fine oats that is exclusive to MOMA, creating a creamy yet chunky texture. The thing that I love about these porridge pots is that they’re so handy for on the go or if you’re in a rush!
I tend to just grab a pot, throw it into my handbag and then eat it when I get to work! You simply add hot water, pop the lid on and wait five minutes. Easy! The Moma porridge tasted good and I’ve discovered they do a whole range of other flavours too such as golden syrup and cranberry and raisin!
Overall, I’m very pleased with the box I received from Premium Foodbox. The variety in the contents is great and I really like there are some new brands in there that I’d not heard of before. I like that everything inside is healthy and I really do think they’re great value for money at just £16 a month.
