Saturday Night TV

When I was little I really used to look forward to Saturday Night TV.
I used to wonder how the contestants on Blind Date could come up with quick, quirky answers to on the spot questions.
I loved listening to Cilla Black’s recognisable voice and of course watching her make people’s dreams come true on Surprise Surprise was also a weekly highlight for me!
I dreamt of being a contestant on Gladiators and I’m kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I actually had a little bit of a crush on Wolf!
Oh no! It’s out there now! I’ve said it and there’s no taking it back! Please don’t judge me, I was young!
Anyway! Moving on rather swiftly! 

Another favourite of mine was Man Oh Man! A game show hosted by Chris Tarrant which saw male contestants competing in rounds where characteristics woman may seek in a romantic partner were tested.
At the end of each round, the all-female audience would vote for their favourite and the man with the least votes would be eliminated by being pushed into a swimming pool!
Ah the joys of Sarturday Night TV in the 90s!
Nowadays Saturday Night TV isn’t quite what it used to be. That’s just my opinion!
Having said that though, I know I can always rely on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
Ant & Dec are a favourite of mine!
I think they’re great TV presenters. They’re funny and they come across as down to earth and genuine. I think it’s all part of their charm!
Did you know that there they’re on tour this year?
That’s right Ant & Dec’s Takeaway on Tour!
It features special guests, amazing prices and they even have audience participation according to The O2 website, which is where the tour takes place.
It sounds amazing and I’d love to go!
I’m a bit of a telly addict you see!
I love watching all the soaps too!
My husband always tells me that he never used to watch TV until he met me!
He does love a bit of Emmerdale though!

I started Twin Mummy and Daddy in 2012.  

Over time Twin Mummy and Daddy has gone from strength to strength. I write about our family life, my love for running and our passion for adventure and travel.  

We’ve also started living a more eco-friendly life. As such I also write about our zero waste journey in a bid to encourage others to think about the impact they have on the environment.

I’m a keen runner and in April 2019 I ran the London Marathon for an amazing charity called WellChild. It’s one of my biggest achievements to date. I raised over £2,000 for the charity and learnt so much along the way.

This year we’re passionate about spending time outdoors. We’ll be sharing our travel, days out and camping adventures right here on Twin Mummy and Daddy.

    I used to love Saturday night tv when I was a kid…I had a crush on Warrior…..I always wanted to have a go on the end course….lol
    I agree Saturday night TV isn't what it used to be….Ant & Dec are great though! Love them! x
