Sewing Project: Christmas Elf Dolls

July 27, 2016
I know, I know! I said the ‘C’ word in July, but I just couldn’t resist! There’s been a lot of talk about Christmas in July in the blogging world and I just couldn’t resist making an early start!

I decided to make our twin girls a Christmas Elf each!

Unlike some of the other dolls I’ve made, I decided against using a coloured fabric for their body, instead I opted for a skin coloured fabric. This way the dolls when the dolls aren’t dressed they’re naked!

The reason behind was so that I could make the dolls different outfits meaning that they’re not specifically Christmas Elves all year round! Come Halloween, they could be a witch or a ghost if I chose to make those outfits for them.

They’re versatile and great dress up dolls! I used a dolls and daydreams pattern for both the dolls and for the outfits they’re wearing.

What do you think? Here are a few photos of the creative process!

These are AWESOME!!! I love these and I think being prepared early is never a bad thing as Christmas always seems to come so quickly
