With Christmas fast approaching I thought I would share with you what we are planning on buying our girls for their second Christmas. They will be 22 months old.
I’ve always wanted to buy a play kitchen for our girls. When I first took them to our local play group they both headed for the play kitchen!
The Little Tikes Double Up Play Kitchen is the same one they have at ply group and although I originally wanted to buy the girls a wooden one, I’ve decided to opt for this plastic one instead. It’s lightweight and portable so we can move it to one side if needed. The side section can also be folded around the back of the larger section for easy storage and because it’s plastic it’s durable and easy to clean.
It’s also big enough for both girls to play with it at the same time and yet it’s compact enough to fit in our front room. It’s great for role play as it includes a pretend microwave, refrigerator, double overs, sink and play phone. Plus the smaller side part features a washer and dryer and an ironing are. It also comes with 15 accessories.
This another toy that is available at play group and our girls do enjoy this activity. It’s suitable for ages 1-5 years and as well as helping to stimulate imaginative play by building castles and anything else the mind can conjour up, it’s also great fun!
I love this! It’s so girly and pink and it’s fantastic to look at! It comes with two figures, Snow White and Cinderella and when you place them on the dancefloor it recognises that specific Princess and responds with her name, character phrases and a song from her movie.
The palace has seven rooms and this toy is suitable for ages 18 months and over.
Our girls love listening to music and dancing so this is sure to be a hit!
I picked this up at our local Sainsbury’s store as they had a half price sale on. I couldn’t decide whether or not it was worth the £30 I paid for it. Even though it’s half price at £30 I’m not sure if it’s worth it. I’ll have to write another post once it’s been unboxed and played with!
I can’t imagine many people paying full price for it as it seems expensive to me for what it is. The reason I ended buying it though is because both our girls love animals and it’s a great way to teach them about all the different animals and what sounds they make.
It’s also another great role play toy.
All Aboard Train Set
Again another Sainsbury’s bargain for around £5.00! Before buying this I made sure that the train could divided up, which it can be into four seperate pieces. If it only came with one train I wouldn’t have bought it as there would be fights over it!
I also picked this up in Sainsbury’s as they were only £2.33 and I bought one for my neice’s 1st birthday back at the begining of October and both R and M seemed quite taken with it!
Stocking Fillers
I’ll also buy the girls some stocking fillers, so I’ll write another post to let you know what stocking fillers I buy!
What will you be buying your little one for Christmas this year?
