Today you are 2
Where has the time gone?
It seems like only yesterday
You were sleeping in my arms
You’ve come such a long way
Since the day you were born
You’re funny and cheeky
You’re wonderfully cute
From small angels
To little girls
You’ve grown so much
A full head of hair
A mouth full of teeth
And now you can talk
There’s no stopping you shout!
We love to watch
As you play together
Chasing each other
And sharing your toys
You both like to hide
Feet poking out beneath the curtains!
We hear you giggle
And wiggle with excitement
Where have they gone?
Oh, there they are!
It seems like only yesterday
You were sleeping in my arms
You love to splash
And you love to jump
In the shower or puddles
It doesn’t matter!
Either way it’s fun!
Ruby’s dogs
Maisie and Daddy’s shorts
Inseparable, just like your bond
Although you may fight
And although you may push
If one can’t be found
You become a little lost
One in the cot
And one in our bed
It seems like only yesterday
You were sleeping in my arms
You love to paint
Colour and crayon
Especially the walls
But we can always repaint!
Stickers are to you
The most precious of them all!
On the door, the doll’s house or mummy’s face
It’s good sticking stickers all around the place
Today you are 2

You both love cuddles, kisses and tickles
With mummy and daddy
Maybe dog too!
We love you so much
And still can’t believe two years ago today was the day you were born

Beautiful poem and happy belated birthday to them both. Make the most of every moment as before you know it they will be like my oldest daughter aged 16 and near to leaving school. It feels like I blinked and the 16 years whizzed past! #Binkylinky
