I wanted to write more about our experience because it was our twins first time. R and M are three and a half years old.
I think they’re quite lucky in regard to the things that they’ve experienced for their age. They’ve already racked up four theatre trips, a cinema trip, they’ve seen a few live shows, been on a trip to a fruit picking farm amongst many other farms and now they’ve had the joy of experiencing bowling!
Before we went bowling I told R and M that we’d be going. They already had a fairly good idea of what bowling involved so they knew what to expect when we arrived.
I haven’t been bowling since I was a teenager so I was really looking forward to it as well!
We let the girls go first as we could see that they were keen to get started!
We got one of the bowling ramps for them to use so that helped make it easier as they just needed to push the ball.
They absolutely loved helping me to carry the ball and help place it onto the ramp.
At first I think the novelty of knocking some pins down made both the girls really excited about playing. However, R soon started to get competitive and if she only knocked a few pins down you could see that she wanted to do better and knock down more. This was even more apparent when M got two strikes in quick succession!
During the course of our bowling session I started to crave something sweet to eat. Of course I’d packed some biscuits for the girls in case they got hungry, but I didn’t want too much as I knew that we’d soon have our lunch so I didn’t want to spoil my appetite.
Reaching into my handbag I pulled out a bag of Werther’s Original’s newest product – Sugar Free Chewy Toffee. It’s the perfect ‘snack’ to keep you going and help to banish that craving. What’s more they’re only 20 calories, so are a perfect sweet treat for those counting the calories or ‘mums on the go’!
I usually pop a cereal bar into my handbag, but I think I’ll be swapping it for a bag of Werther’s Original instead as they’re much more tasty!
Going back to our bowling game and we’d arranged to play two games, but a few goes into the second game, my husband and I could see that the girls were getting a bit tired and hungry so we decided to call it quits and head off for some lunch.
We had so much fun bowling and I know that R and M did too!
On a side note – do you like my new handbag?
