My 2017 Goals

January 5, 2017

This post kind of follows on from my New Years resolutions post.

In short, I want 2017 to be an amazing year. Who doesn’t?!

I want it to be a year that brings with it new experiences. Whether that’s doing something out of my comfort zone, going the extra mile for someone or purely making time to enjoy the smaller things in life.

There are some set goals that I’d like to achieve though and these are follows:

  1. Get to my goal weight of 9st7lbs – I’m planning on doing a workout a day, with Monday being my rest day. This might sound like a lot, but the intensity of each workout will be different and will include sessions as yoga.
  2. Go to a festival with my family
  3. Get outdoors more – Go for more walks with the kids, walk to and from home, go to our favourite places such as the beach, farm and park, but also visit new places
  4. Spend more time with friends and family
  5. Spend less money and save more
  6. Be more patient, kind, open-minded and considerate
  7. Spend less time on my phone
  8. Keep being creative and making things!
  9. Grown our own veg again
  10. Get the whole family eating better and being more active

So far this week has been good in terms of being more active and reaching my goal weight. Sunday was a full on day of workouts which I really enjoyed and M, one of our twins, enjoyed joining in too!

What are your goals for 2017?

Best of luck – some great goals and I love the idea of growing your own veg.

Getting outdoors more and spending less time on the phone are two of mine (though it’s hard being a blogger!)

I don’t really do goals or resolutions as i never keep them. I’m trying to keep my blogs more organized, especially my travel blog as i get a bit lazy with posting on it

Wow, that’s a lot of goals! I’ve set a few goals for 2017, which I hope are achievable: get fit; monthly dates with the hubs; see more of the people we love.

Love your goal of going to a festival en famille! My little ones are still a bit too small to do this, but maybe something for the future.

Definitely want to spend less. We didn’t OVER-spend at Christmas, but I definitely felt like we spent a lot and I’m not sure it was necessary. I especially want to spend less on toys for the kids…just for the sake of it. They have so much stuff already and yet they have so much fun doing imaginative play with boxes and things – need to remember that before opening the wallet or hitting “buy” on Amazon!
