Updating your spring/summer wardrobe
It’s always an awkward phase I feel. That time in between winter and summer known as spring!
One day it’s lovely and warm with a pleasant breeze, the next it’s raining and blowing a gale like nobody’s business!

It can be hard to decide how to dress in the mornings just by looking out of the window or opening the front door to ‘feel’ how warm or cold it is.
In winter I stick to boots, jeans and jumpers, long-sleeve tops and cardigans.
In summer I like to wear sandals, dresses, vests and skirts.
The thing is with spring, you never really know what the weather is going to do. Here are a few times for transitioning your winter wardrobe in a spring ready sensation that can be carried through to the summer:
- Swap knee-length for cute, colourful ankle boots. They’ll still keep your feet warm and look on trend, without having to feel too overdressed for the time of year
- Swap heavy jumpers and cardigans for light ones such as these nice cardigans I found online. They suit any wardrobe because they can be worn over dresses or short sleeve tops and they’re practical too
- If you want to wear a dress opt for a knitted one. If the weather decides to turn cooler, you’ll still stay warm, but not too warm
- Swap long length skirts for knee length ones
- Play around with colours. Adding a splash of yellow or pastel pink can help to make your favourite pair of skinny jeans look a little more on trend
- Accessorize – swap knitted scarves for cotton ones and update your jewellery with some colourful statement pieces
- Swap thick tights for semi opaque ones. They’ll still look natural and provide coverage, as well as helping to update your spring wardrobe

Great tips. I'm a boots, to sandals, to boots again kinda girl too. Can't lose with a good pair of ankle boots 🙂
