We’re now well into the summer holidays and for us that’s meant trips to the farm, beach, swimming pool and park, as well as spending lots of time in our garden.
The first few weeks of the summer holidays can be exciting as it means you can plan lots of fun activities for the kids. However, a few weeks in and boredom may start to set in which usually means stressful times for mum and dad as they rack their brains for ideas to keep the little ones entertained.
What if you had a space where they could play outside safely all summer long?
I bet that would help to stave off the boredom!
For your chance to win all you need to do is have your child draw their dream outdoor retreat and then upload their picture to Walton’s social channels using your smartphone or tablet to any of Walton’s social media channels with the hashtag #waltonsdreamplayhouse
So, not only can you be in with the chance of winning a playhouse, it’s also a fun activity to do with your children allowing them to get really creative!
Maybe their dream playhouse has a water slide, or a heli-pad or a library! Perhaps there’s a dragon pit, or an ice-cream making room or a secret lookout tower.
Our twins, R and M, are a bit too young to draw a playhouse themselves, but they weren’t short of ideas in telling me exactly what they’d want in their dream playhouse.
R decided that her dream playhouse would have to have a dog kennel attached to it! She’s obsessed with dogs and of course the dog had to have his own dog door so that he can come and go as he pleases!
M wanted a slide so that she could whizz from the top of the play house down to the bottom and they both decided that they wanted a fireman’s pole too!
Some final touches were the disco ball hanging above the slide and the fairy door on the front of the playhouse so that the tooth fairy and dummy fairy can sneak in !
I loved listening to them coming up with their ideas!

You can get your child to draw, paint, or even collage their dream playhouse, take a photo of their creation, and then share it with Waltons on their social channels using the hashtag.

The Waltons team will judge the winner. The judge’s decision will be final and we won’t enter into any discussion about specific entries.
The prize will be a Waltons Playhouse and will be none transferable.
