A workout a day! Update #2

January 17, 2017

I’m still too scared to look at the scales. Mainly because last week wasn’t great in terms of food. The weekend before last saw me eating birthday cake, too much chocolate and generally just too much rubbish! However from Tuesday onwards all has gone well on the healthy eating front, so I’m hoping this will continue!

Now for the honest part. I haven’t done a workout a day. Sorry to disappoint!

I did go for a long two hour walk on Sunday with my husband and our girls so that was really nice, even if it did wear me out! It was really nice to get outdoors, get some fresh air and watch our girls playing in natures playground!

Although I haven’t worked out every day this week, I am looking on the bright side! I did go to spin class on Tuesday which was a particularly tough one! I don’t know if the coach was in a bad mood and wanted to take it out on the spin bike, but it was tough! Lots of standing up, then sitting down and hovering in quick succession whilst the tension was set to the most difficult one there is! For all of that though I did enjoy the class and I even went again on Thursday!

That’s pretty much it for this week! I have booked myself in for two more spin classes this week and provided that I keep up with the healthy eating, I’ll be weighing myself next week so I’ll report any weight loss to you then. Well, maybe, if I’m feeling brave enough!

I have also managed to convince my sister to join me at a new boot camp class once a week, so I’m looking forward to that. That’ll be three workouts a week!

Talking of weight loss, I  have actually got a glass jar filled with 22 marbles. Each marble represents one pound, so in total I really want to lose 22lbs. For each pound I lose, I’m going to take a marble out of the jar.

I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought it was pretty cool! Anyway, wish me luck!

I remember well how difficult spin classes are but the rewards come quickly! I may need to look into joining again.
Love the idea of the marbles on a jar. What a great way to keep focus.

I love the marble idea! I am sure you are going to succeed and you are being honest with yourself which is the first step as it can be hard to workout every day when you have a family and the fact you managed a long walk and two spin classes is amazing!

The most important thing is that you haven’t let the bad week so to speak defeat you. Booking into more spin classes and boot camp is more than enough for anyone. Fitness should be fun and more importantly flexible around your lifestyle. I am looking forward to finding out how your journey concludes. p.s the marble idea is ace! #TheGoldenBurpee

Looking at how Nigel polishes off the Quality Street I’m surprised you get a chance to eat unhealthily at all.

Well done on the spin classes I went once and nearly had a heart attack!!

Thanks for linking up to #wineandboobs

Great idea with the marbles – it’s a nice visual trick 🙂 I love spin classes but gym membership here is super expensive! #TheGoldenBurpee
